Founding Engineer

MediaMaxxing is a fast-growing SaaS at the intersection of creator-led content and B2B brand partnerships. Our mission is to connect brands with top-tier creators through structured, conversion-focused UGC campaigns, paid only when results are delivered. Our model combines the scale of a marketplace with the accountability of performance marketing, giving brands a repeatable way to acquire customers and creators a reliable way to monetize.

The Role

You are the technical owner of the entire platform. The founders handle sales, operations, and campaign fulfillment. You own everything that gets built. The product was built by the two founders, it moves real money every day, and it deserves a real engineering owner.

This is a founding seat: high ownership, high trust, a direct line to the founders, and equity that actually matters. As we scale, you hire and lead the engineers under you. CTO or VP of Engineering is the realistic path for the right person.

What You'll Own

  Platform stability: reliability, performance, and code quality across the creator app, brand dashboards, and payout systems.

• •

  Self-serve product: today we are done-for-you. The roadmap is brands funding and launching campaigns themselves, end to end.

• •

  White-label: multi-tenant infrastructure is already live with its first tenants. Turn it into a product.

• •

  New surfaces: editor marketplace, richer brand analytics and reporting, creator tooling.

• •

  Team building: hire, mentor, and lead the engineering team as we grow.

The Stack

• •

  Web: Next.js 16 App Router, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind 4 with shadcn/Radix, deployed on Vercel. Bun-workspaces monorepo (web, api, bot).

• •

  Backend: Supabase (Postgres with RLS, RPCs, pg_cron rollups) plus a Hono API service on Railway running the cron and tracking pipelines.

• •

  Data pipelines: automated view tracking across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube at six-figure video scale, feeding a double-entry ledger that drives creator payouts.

• •

  Payments: a double-entry campaign ledger is the source of truth for every dollar. Brands fund campaigns through Slash ACH wallets and embedded SideShift crypto deposits (per-brand sub-accounts sweeping to a central wallet); creators are paid out over SideShift crypto rails, with Slash ACH domestic and Wise international transfers covering the rest. Pending vs confirmed earnings, per-campaign budget gating, and idempotent payout writes all live in this layer. Correctness is non-negotiable.

  Mobile: Expo / React Native creator app.

  AI: Vercel AI SDK (Anthropic, xAI) powering internal analytics and automation.

Who You Are

  Full-stack product engineer, strong on TypeScript and React, comfortable owning Postgres schema and data integrity, not just UI.

  You've shipped and operated production systems that real customers and real money depend on.

  You think like an owner: you push back on specs, propose better versions of features, and understand why something is being built, not just what.

  You want long-term ownership, not a part-time gig.

• •
